After my son was born in 2015, I decided to seize the day and start my own
floral design company. I have over ten years experience in project
management and event planning, and nearly four years of experience working at a local florist. For years, I did flowers for friends and family and
always told people I wanted to have a florist as my retirement plan. Life
is too short, am I right?! MI Honeybee Flowers is my now plan! I absolutely
love working along side my clients to make their day happier. I have a
strong eye for details and promise that every flower, decoration idea, and
arrangement I provide, is the best I have to offer.
MI Honeybee Flowers is a family-owned floral design and event consulting business in the great mitten state. I want to make your dreams come to life and ensure that it's enjoyable, affordable, and uniquely you. I want to build a family of clients where creativity, attention to detail, and communication are at the forefront. I love chasing dreams, the beauty and perfection of flowers, and building community for the betterment of your event and for residents in Michigan.
LIZ LEWIS
Lead Designer
Liz has been with MI Honeybee since June 2017. Alongside her new found passion for floral design, Liz Lewis is also a textile artist, painter, and teacher. She studied painting and fiber arts at College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI and has focused her recent artwork on natural fabric dyes. Liz has been gardening for the past decade and her passion for plants shines through in all aspects of her work. She strives to keep environmental sustainability at the forefront of her projects and also shares her love of nature with children by teaching eco-art classes in Detroit Public Schools elementary science classrooms.
Amy is extremely talented and amazing at what she does. Walking into my ceremony and reception without knowing exactly what to expect, (besides our emails back and forth) I was speechless. Between the bouquets, boutonnieres, our table wreaths, chuppah, and large fireplace wreath, the flowers were way beyond my vision, in the best way possible. You will not regret using MI Honeybee Flowers- I could truly tell that each flower placed in my venue and in our bouquets was placed with love :)- Natalie Yadon. 9/14/2019- We hired MI honeybee flowers and events as our florist for our wedding. Amy is so sweet! She is very accommodating and brought our visions to life on our wedding day! Everything was exactly what we asked for. With crunch time before the wedding I wanted to meet up with her and review plans- without hesitation she made plans to do so. She communicated in a timely manner and had everything set and transported to different locations as needed on the wedding day. - Amy is so sweet and a dream come true- I am SO grateful that I had the opportunity to work with her for our wedding! I know next-to-nothing about flowers and arrangements, and Amy was able to take my (less than descriptive) ideas and bring them to life... Our centerpieces, bouquets, and ceremony decorations were understated and BEAUTIFUL, which is exactly what I wanted. - Amy was absolutely wonderful to work with! She understood my vision for my wedding perfectly. She was quick to respond to any questions, concern, or changes I had. - It was such a pleasure working with Amy! She was very accommodating as she worked two weddings in the same day! The flowers were absolutely beautiful; we received so many compliments from our guests that they were some of the most gorgeous flowers they had ever seen at any wedding. (Not to be biased, but I would certainly have to agree.) We met with multiple florists to begin with, but I new instantly when I met Amy that she would be able to deliver.
